Hello Sweet Owls~

We had a wonderful week in the owl room. We played in the instant snow again and sorted ducks and snowmen. Wow I am impressed with my sweet owls. We painted with shaving cream and made snowflake stamps. We also worked on two secrete projects. We read How the build a snowman and made a snowman. We made the face and including a carrot nose. Then my sweet owls made their own snowman. We went to motormovement with Ms. Betty and enjoyed playing with the balls. In chapel we climbed in the belly of a whale just like Jonah. We enjoyed another great week.

Remember No school next week.

Conferences are next week.

With Love~

Happy Snow Day!!

We had a wonderful week in the Owl class. The Snow was so fun to explore. We played in the instant snow in the discovery table, we enjoyed making snow soup. At the easel we made stamps. We had to work really hard to steady the marker so it would make a print. It was fun to see the look on their face when they made it work. Our most favorite activity was the treasures frozen in the ice block. It was interesting to see the ice melt and the treasures became free. We also painted hot chocolate with ice cubes. I think it was way more fun to lick the chocolate off the ice cube then paint with it. Outside we played in shaving cream and painted with potato mashers to make snowflakes.
My friends LOVED the snow. The sled was fun but a bit overwhelming for some. Despite the rain we still had fun.
I look forward to next week- we will explore snow one more week.

Hello Owls~

I missed my sweet Tuesday and Wednesday Owls. I think we are all better now. I have a few pictures of my Thursday class. Please enjoy.

Next week it will be snowing at ELP. YEAH!!!! Please remember to bring gloves and a warm coat. It is always helpful to bring extra clothes including socks. If any of my friends want to ride the sled they might get wet. As always you are welcome.

We will also be exploring ice and snow in the classroom.

Please let me know what time works for your conference.

With Love,
Tracee

Happy New Year!!

We had a wonderful week in the Owl class. Everyone seemed happy to come back to school. I got lots of sweet hugs and even a few kisses. Thank you so much for sharing your sweet babies with me.
We had fun just getting reacquainted with the class and our friends. My Owls seemed to have really grown up over the last two weeks. We celebrated with our Epiphany celebration. In chapel we followed stars to the manager just as the wise men did. Under the star we found the greatest gift- Jesus. We also put stickers on a candle and ate a cinnamon bread star that we made. Yummy, Yummy.
In our classroom we painted a star gold and we took a walk through the school hunting for stars. We saw big stars, little stars and stars of many colors. We sang "Twinkle Star". We like to sing it in a tiny voice. We had snowmen and winter ducks in our discovery table along with beans, we practiced sorting ducks and snowmen. I am so impressed with my smart friends. We read books about snowmen and of course we read Brown Bear an all time favorite. I sing it in a song when I read it.
We enjoyed playing outside. Mrs. Pat had yellow or blue paint mixed with shaving cream. We rolled stars on paper.

I look forward to next week- we will be talking about snowmen.

Have a wonderful weekend!
Love,
Ms.Tracee
