Hello Owls~

We had a Christmas good time in our class this week. We practiced cutting or throwing the streamers in our discovery table. We washes the reindeer in our water bucket. We experienced decorating the Christmas tree. We put stickers on the Christmas Tree. We read Our First Christmas and played with the manager scene. Our favorite item is the baby Jesus. We worked on our secrete Santa Gifts and painted with silver.
Outside we played with the foot tall manager. It is fun to let them slide down the slide. In our water tables we had hay and babies. We colored a Christmas tree and painted green paper with glitter.
In Chapel we talked about bells and having the love of Jesus in us and making a happy sound. We then followed the star (flashlight) to find baby Jesus.

Next week is the Christmas Party. I have plates and napkins for every class. Thank you Debbie Melzner. I have a cake for Wednesday class. I still need a cake or cupcakes for Tuesday and Thursday. As always Parents are welcome but you know I am fine with celebrating on our own if you need your three hours. We will be celebrating directly after the Live Nativity.

Have a great Weekend.

Good Afternoon Sweet Owls~

We had a turkeyriffic day in the owl room. We played with the black beans and leaves again. We painted over fall shapes and took them off to see the white shape on the paper. My sweet owls painted a turkey body and we gobbled. We read Blessings everywhere and sang our turkey song. We had our picture taken and this takes a while so we did not have as much time to explore. We went to Motor movement and played with Ms. Betty and in Chapel we talked about sharing and fed Mr. Hungry. His belly was empty and then it was full. Yeah. We had so much fun on the playground too. We painted on brown paper with fall colors and colored with crayons.

Enjoy your weekend. Remember next week is the big picnic. It will be at 11:00 all three days. You may come and enjoy but as always I understand if you need all 3 hours to go to the grocery store.

With Love,
Tracee

Hello Owls~

I hope you are enjoying the Owl like weather. We enjoyed another fun week at school. We enjoyed the black beans, squirrels and fall leaves in our discovery table. We loved scooping and dropping the beans on the floor. We practiced cleaning up too. We painted on the easel with sponges. We made a pumpkin patch by putting yellow and red paint on the bottom of a cupcake pan and mixed to two colors together to get orange and then made a print on the paper. My Owls loved this. They loved the sensory feeling of mixing the paint and they got to watch the paint turn colors. We read Blessings Everywhere and talked about being thankful. We threw colored leaves in the air and said up down and sang about the leaves falling. We laughed and squealed during this experience. We sang our Turkey song and gobbled. We sorted the balls in different colored blocks- red balls in red box ect. We will continue to sort different items. My Tuesday and Thursday class got to play outside where we painted a hay bell and also everything else around us including ourselves. What an experience.
In chapel-we searched for Jesus to tell him Thank You for healing the sick men.

Remember to send a jacket that can get dirty. We do a lot of exploring outside and will continue to as the weather gets cooler.

Have a wonderful weekend and God Bless!!

Happy Halloween!! I hope everyone is having a spooky day.

We had a fallerific week in the Owl room. We read The Five Little Pumpkins again and played with our puppets. We love to count the pumpkins and look at the different shapes on their faces. We put our own face on a pumpkin while we talked about two eyes, one nose and a mouth. We talked about the shapes of the items- triangles and circle. We experimented with glue. It is fun to watch them with this foreign liquid. We played in the water and pumpkins. We finger painted on a mirror and made prints. We also looked inside a gooey pumpkin. This was great fun. We stamped our Fall Festival bag.
We also went to the festival where we picked apples, threw bean bags, rode a Hay ride and picked a spider off a spider web. In Chapel we talked about how a God takes a sinner like me and cleans us out. Just like we clean out a pumpkin.

I look forward to next week - we will continue to talk about fall and pumpkins.

Have a great Halloween!

We painted pumpkins and put some glitter on them. It was so much fun. We read Five Little Pumpkins and played with my pumpkin puppets. We counted them and talked about the different shapes on the faces. We touched and explored the different kinds of pumpkins and gourds. Good morning wonderful Owls~

We had another great week in the owl class. We talked about spiders. We found spiders in the oatmeal. We enjoyed filling the oatmeal cans with spiders and oatmeal. We turned rice colors and played with scented play dough. Some of us wanted to eat it the play dough smelled so good. We made spider prints with spider rings and of course wrote with markers. We love this. We read The Itsy Bitsy Spider and sang it in a big loud voice, a itsy bitsy voice and a voice in the middle. I have a book where we place the big spider, big rain and big sun on the big water spout and the same for little and middle. We talked about all the words and then we sorted all the spiders, rain and sun. We love to sing and then we sang "I have a spider on my head" and other body parts.

Outside we painted, play on the play ground and Ms Pat had ice in the water tables and we used tongs to pick up the ice. This is great for motor skills.

We went to chapel and listened to the story of the 4 friends who lowered a friend into a house to see Jesus and he was healed by Jesus. We got to lower a friend in through a box house roof and say "Get up and walk"

This week we will be talking about the Farm and the petting zoo is coming. Yeah!!
Parents are always welcome. I just ask if you do want to come to remember the separation for the little guys can be hard. If it is late in the morning maybe consider just taking them home with you after the petting zoo. I will take lots of pictures.

Hello Sweet Owls~

We had another wonderful week in the OWL class. I had very little tears and more smiles and happy squeals as we learned and explore our room. We continued to talk about "Me and Our Families". We scooped and poured in the rice table again. It is so fun to put it on the floor. We are working on keeping it in the sensory table. We also washed the babies and poured water over them while talking about our body and pointing to the different parts. This was a favorite among all the little owls. We discovered our blocks with our pictures on them and talked about our friends names and stacked the blocks while using all the language. We read our books and talked about what we love and we also read "Peekaboo Baby" We tried painting with our feet but my owls were not ready so we painted with brushes instead. It was fun to watch some of them paint for the first time. We made dots on the easel and of course played outside.

This week we went to chapel and talked about how God made everything. Ms. Pat had huge story items she pulled out of envelope to tell the story. We danced and got a stamp.

Please remember to bring 2 changes of clothes. I had a thought, the first outfit seems to get the dirties. Maybe send them in a play outfit and I will put them in their cute outfit when it is time to go home.

I look forward to next week we will be exploring Bears.

Have a wonderful weekend

Newsletter Week 1

Hello Sweet Owls~

What a wonderful 2 weeks we have had at school. We are having so much fun getting to know each other. All of my owls seem happy exploring our room and outside. I had very few tears. YEAH!! We love playing in the rice in the sensory table, it is fun to scoop and pour the rice over the people. We enjoyed reading Here Are My Hands and touching and naming our body parts. It is so fun to see ourselves in the mirrors and look at our beautiful face. We sang a few songs and played our music instruments. We loved hearing the different sounds. We made our first day of school hand prints and colored an Owl. We explored Ms. Pat's water tables and painted. We had fun in the sandbox and slid down the slide.

Please remember to send your little Owls in play clothes so we can explore our environment and we don't have to worry about our clothes. Also maybe two pairs of extra clothes. I do my best to clean them up after our work is done but some friends love the water and the paint and our brains are growing while we explore.

Remember to make your file folder scrapbooks and a separate family picture is great also. I like for them to have a book of their families in our library to look at.We read these and they are usually their favorite books to read. It is great for them to see their name when looking at these books.

I look forward to next week~ we will continue to talk about "Me and our Families"

Every week I will post new pictures to Snapfish. Click on the link. I am having some trouble with my camera. So please be patient with me and the pictures. I will get better and more consistent with each class.

Have a wonderful weekend.

With Love~
